Harem pants have a low crotch and a gathered ankle, which sounds like a lot until you sit cross-legged in a pair. Then it makes sense. There's no seam pulling across the thigh and nothing to hitch up when you fold forward.

Ours are handmade in small batches from natural fibres, plant-dyed. Loose through the leg, soft after the first few washes.
